Today, students examined the sample velocity problems on page 170 and then answered #2-5 on page 171. These are to be completed for homework if not done.

Today students were quized by trying an adding vectors question. It's clear that some still need to practice this type of question (practice drawing vector diagrams and using the math method to find resultant deplacement). We then finished the velocity note and did two practice problems. These velocity questions will be continued tomorrow.

Today we reviewed how to add vectors along a straight line. We then worked through questions #1-5 on page 165. Near the end of the class, students began copying a note on velocity. This note will be continued on Monday. There is no homework this weekend, so be sure to finish up any projects that you have due next week in your other classes!
On Thursday, students wrote the speed lab. Absent students will write this test on their first day back to class.

Today we attempted to take up the speed review, which was to be done as a preparation for Thursday's speed test. Unfortunately, only about 3 students had the problem sheet completed. The remainder of the students will need to prepare tonight for the test.

Today we worked on the speed review problems from the "Holiday Homework" sheet. These must be done for homework if not completed. These problems will prepare for Thursday's speed test!
Also, a few of you still need to complete and hand in your car ads. Those of you in that position will need to get the Incomplete Assessment form signed and brought back tomorrow.

Today we took up the chemistry unit test. We also discussed the fact that there is really only two weeks of classes left before exam week begins. Students should be intensely focused on the work ahead, studying for exams, and booking time off of work and other social activities.
